Precisely.

I was going to give a definition, though I'm sure you know what it means really, but then when I wrote it I didn't know if I was right, then I scratched my head some more and came to exactly the same conclusion - eh?

The request does that, doesn't it. I think it is an attempt at filtering at the first hurdle with an inscrutable thrust. It's either clever, too clever, elitist or bloody-minded.

Shouldn't it say chronological order rather than choronology? Isn't an ology the study of something. I bet it was a local Government form.

I have had a chat with the organisation concerned - or rather an office associated with it - about using the term 'reverse chronology'. And no, it is not a local government invention (yet!); surprising isn't it.
'ology' an unidentified discipline; a field or subject of study when attached to one, or a bailiwick. What! I hear you cry.
A chronology is an arrangement of events in time, a record of events in the order of their occurrence; the determination of the temporal sequence of past events. Even this lot is more naturally comprehensible than the request I looked at.
When I deem the time is right, I will send a little billet doux about the form of language used. (Shakes head)

Computers are my own personal bailiwick. Haha, I've been wearing out the online dictionary's looking up all these big words.
