SCAM ALERT!!!!!

Warning! There's a scam on blogUK .

You may receive an invitation from a Captscottduke who purports to be an American Soldier still on active duty, who gives lots of information on time in various locations in Iraq to seduce his reader into believing in the honesty of his 'offer'. A blog has been set up on the captscottduke site, there are no blogs on it. It is, in my view, a device for gaining entry to a big mailshot scamming list.

I have denied Captscottduke's invitation. I trust that the blog site organisers will investigate and remove this blog and blacklist the source of it.

  That's good. The more public knowledge the better. BTW, to where did you report this individual? I've been hunting for a suitable avenue on blog to do the same thing.

  It doesn't take long to find a rich seam of possible victims, does it.
  
  I noticed 2 people had accepted the friends invitation, I hope they think better of it. I also hope BCUK get onto this danger zone very, very, quickly. It has been reported.

      It is bizarre - there are a lot of new computer users out there, some with little idea of the sabotage that can occur with domestic equipment and with little knowledge of the language used about these diabolical groups and individuals that play fruadulent and disruptive games. Scam, phish spam cookie and so on are all foreign language terms to many people.

Well done and thanks for the heads up. Rampage will deal with this fellow and delete him soon. Rampage is one of the BCUK staff.

  Yup, I know about Rampage and do have a contact mail for him. As this was official site business, I felt it best to keep this scammer well into the open for everyone to hear about.

  PS It's surprising how many people have responded to me (women) saying, they'd received the same invitation. It beats me why they didn't put their heads above the parapet before my alert. I guess some people would have just accepted and clicked the okay button, without checking things out fully. Two women accepted the invitation to 'be trusted'; I hope they've had a quick re-think.

I got one too..... also denied his invitation. People like him make me sick when there are people out there in the world who really do need our help.
